*The language used in demonstrating the skills is not program specific so the commercials and skits can be used with any curriculum. The message sent by the diverse ethnicities of the couples performing the skits is that marriage education is for everyone.
An added bonus is the Defective Communication Tools Inventory (download a copy here) which may be reproduced for your clients and classes. This valuable tool delivers instant awareness to the communication methods that result in hurt and anger, increasing their motivation to learn new skills. California Healthy Marriage Coalition is including this inventory in their pre-, post- and six month assessments following every marriage class in order to have an accurate picture of long-term results.
