A Marriage Education Commercial for Men
Compares the requirements of learning to operate and maintain a car with learning to successfully build and maintain a great marriage. The satisfaction and pleasure that results from both investments are worth the expense and the effort!

A Marriage Education Commercial for Women
Demonstrates the difference a functional gardening tool makes in achieving the desired results. Your marriage will also blossom and flourish as you cultivate the use of good tools.

Skits
The skits that follow have a proven track record!
- Couples who had been defensive laughed and opened up about their struggles.
- The evaluations often listed “skits” as the teaching medium through which the most was learned.

Defective Communication
This skit listens in on a couple on their way to a marriage class. Their fight begins with “Did you bring a pen?” and escalates until neither can remember the issue. Humorous…and a great look at communication at its worst!
Effective as an ice breaker or to promote classes. 3 1⁄2 minutes.
Revised Defective Communication
The same argument begins, but gets headed in a more helpful direction when one partner is willing to halt the insanity and begin using good skills. As communication deepens, the issue behind the issue is revealed bringing understanding and healing.
6 minutes.
Where Are We Going?
Demonstrates the necessity of having a road map and the importance of using it in order to “arrive” at a great marriage: a young couple leaves their wedding for the honeymoon without any idea of where they are going or how to get there. Humorous. Great skit for promoting classes to engaged or newly married couples, although effective for couples married for some time as well.

The Resentment Wall
Uses a “brick wall” to illustrate the result of resentments in a relationship and how to remove the “wall.”
7 minutes.
A Different Point of View
Shows the magic the occurs when we look over our partner’s shoulder to see an issue from their point of view.
4 minutes.
How Can I Help?
Teaches the difference between “fixing” and compassionate listening.
5 minutes.
*The language used in demonstrating the skills is not program specific so the commercials and skits can be used with any curriculum. The message sent by the diverse ethnicities of the couples performing the skits is that marriage education is for everyone.
